Today is Monday and Mr.Tedder paired us up with partners. My partner is Isaiah Forte and we are working on lightbulbs and which ones are the longer lasting ones. I was just on the Green Monkey Blog and I found some very interesting facts that got me thinking that I really wanted to do this. I really like the blog postings and websites about recycling. We won’t be partnering up today but tommorow we will get together and I will already have a headstart on facts. I learned that LED means Light Emidding Diode, they save the most energy. Incandescent light bulbs cost the lowest but use up the most energy. So this is the first blog posting of my website. November 17, 2015 Today is the second day of research and I was really hoping to get with my partner today but we are working separate today. Today we are working on more facts about lightbulbs so I will tell you. LED light bulbs last the longest, save the most energy and cost 20-30 dollars. Also did you know Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb. 1 Common 60w incandescent bulb last about 1,200 hours. 1 LED lightbulb lasts 20 years, That is amazing. November 18, 2015 Today we got into partners and started researching more and more about lightbulbs. We also started sharing facts so we both could get caught up with our information. We looked through many websites, like, http://greenmonkeyschools.weebly.com/lightbulbs.html, and http://www.fplsafetyworld.com/?ver=kkblue&utilid=fplforkids&id=16188 . We still have much learn about light bulbs.Did you know LED Light bulbs save the most energy?.I learned that 1 ICD light bulb last 1,200 hours. I also learned that LED light bulbs are the most energy efficient. November 23, 2015 Today we got permission slips to go to First star Fiber. It sounds like a fun field trip and we are going tomorrow. Also again we are researching lightbulbs and which one cost the most. To recap I will tell some more facts about light bulbs. Did you know thomas edison invented the light bulbs. Also The more the watts the less bulbs you have to use. I will try to keep a lookout of things at the recycling center. I used the sitehttp://www.fplsafetyworld.com/?ver=kkblue&utilid=fplforkids&id=16193. November 30, 2015 Today we got to come up with questions and write our paragraph with bullet points. We might get to have our questions solved by other people. I did not know there were so many facts about light bulbs. Now i know that light bulbs are a huge part of this world it provides light and the ability for us to see, or else the world would have been dark. We didn’t go on any websites today, all we did today was write, write, write and that was actually a good thing because we got caught up on alot of stuff. December 2, 2015 Today we were working on the answer choices for our questions. We both had to write them, after we turned it in we noticed that I accidentally wrote a blog posting instead of a paragraph for our questions, so now we have to re-write them to get a better score. Also we are very excited that we get to make our own website about light bulbs and publish our own questions. December 14, 2015 Today we got called to do our real experiment on light bulbs and we are very excited to be doing it. We first got to try out our 4 main light bulbs we noticed that the CFL light bulb was really taking up a lot of room with light. Then we tried the LED light which blinded us we knew that that would be the best light to use when your house runs out of power. So for now on we will start telling people to use LED because it is very helpful. All the other light bulbs I didn’t mention because those are usually called reading lights. December 15, 2015 We really got caught up on everything because Mr.Man pulled us for our experiment. he helped us with all of our work. Right now we are finalizing our websites so they can be published. We have learned so much about light bulbs and what they can do to give you a brighter world. I hope that people will stop wasting light bulbs so they can be recycled into better things.
